This Privacy Policy describes how Vidream Lab ("Vidream," "we," "our," or "us") collects, uses, shares, and protects your personal information when you use the Vidream service (the "Service"), which includes the website located at Vidream.ai (the "Site") and the Vidream mobile applications (each, an "App").
Please read this Privacy Policy carefully. By accessing or using the Service, you agree to be bound by the terms described here. If you do not agree, you may not use the Service.

- Vidream uses AI to apply style transformations to photos and videos (for example, anime filters, artistic style transfers, and photo-to-video animations).
- Vidream does not extract, compute, or retain face biometric data (such as face templates or embeddings used for identification). We do not perform facial recognition or facial identification.
- The photos you choose to upload are transmitted to our two third-party AI service providers — Alibaba Cloud and BytePlus — solely to perform the style transformation you requested.
- We only collect the specific media files you choose to upload. We do not access your entire media library.
- We do not use your photos or personal data to train AI models.
- Uploaded source photos are deleted from our servers immediately after processing is complete. Generated results are retained for up to 7 days so you can download them, then automatically deleted.
- Before you first use an AI feature, the App shows a privacy consent screen that identifies our third-party AI providers by name and asks for your explicit agreement. You may decline, in which case the AI feature will not run.
- Each time you choose a new photo to process, the App also shows a short just-in-time notice confirming that the photo will be sent to Alibaba Cloud or BytePlus for processing before it is transmitted.
1. Information We Collect
When you use the Service, we collect the following categories of information:
1.1 Media Files You Provide. The photos and videos you choose to upload to Vidream for style transformation. We only access the specific media you select; we do not scan or upload your media library.
1.2 Text Prompts You Provide. Any text descriptions you enter to guide the AI generation.
1.3 App Usage Information. Information about how you use the App, such as your language preference, the date and time of your first and most recent use, the features you interact with, and session duration.
1.4 Device Information. Information about your device, such as the type of operating system, device model, IP address, and browser type.
1.5 Online Activity Data. Information about your activity on the Site or in the App, including the pages or features you access, time spent, and navigation paths.
2. Face Data Policy
This section is specifically intended to comply with Apple App Store Review Guideline 5.1.1(i) regarding face data.
2.1 Definition of "Face Data"
For the purposes of this Policy and in the context of Apple's App Store Review Guidelines, "face data" refers to biometric identifiers and templates derived from facial features for the purposes of identification, authentication, tracking, or biometric analysis, including (but not limited to) face embeddings, facial landmarks used for identification, 3D face geometry, and face recognition vectors.
While the photos you upload to Vidream may contain faces (as pixel-level image content), Vidream does not extract, compute, or retain any such biometric identifiers or templates from those photos.
2.2 Does Vidream Collect Face Data?
No. Vidream itself does not extract, analyze, or retain face data. We do not perform facial recognition or facial identification, and we do not build or maintain any biometric database.
2.3 How Are Photos Containing Faces Handled?
When you choose to use an AI feature, the photo you select is transmitted securely (via HTTPS/TLS) to our third-party AI service providers — Alibaba Cloud and BytePlus — through their APIs. These providers perform the style transformation you requested.
During style transformation, the providers' AI models may process the content of the image, including regions that contain faces, as part of rendering the requested effect. However, pursuant to our contractual arrangements with these providers:
- They do not extract biometric identifiers or face templates for identification purposes;
- They do not associate the image with any other user data;
- They do not store, cache, or retain the image data beyond what is strictly necessary to complete the single processing request;
- They do not use the image data to train, fine-tune, validate, or evaluate any AI models;
- They do not share the image data with any further third parties.
2.4 Why We Retain Anything, and For How Long
Uploaded source photos (including those containing faces): Deleted from Vidream's servers immediately after the style transformation is complete. We retain no copy.
Third-party providers: Alibaba Cloud and BytePlus are contractually required to delete the image data immediately after processing and, in any case, within 24 hours of receipt.
Generated results (the AI-transformed output): Retained on Vidream's servers for up to 7 days to give you a reasonable window to review, share, and download your creations. We chose 7 days specifically to balance user convenience with the data minimization principle — this window is short enough that the results serve no purpose beyond user access, and any result older than 7 days is automatically deleted from our servers. You may also delete your content at any time within the App.
2.5 Which Third Parties Receive Photos That May Contain Faces?
Only Alibaba Cloud and BytePlus, and only for the purpose described above. Vidream does not share your photos or any image data containing faces with any other third parties.

Beyond these providers' baseline policies, Vidream has secured additional contractual commitments regarding zero retention, prohibition on training use, and prohibition on biometric extraction, as described in Section 2.3 above.
2.6 Do These Third Parties Store Face Data?
No. As detailed in Section 2.3, Alibaba Cloud and BytePlus are contractually prohibited from retaining the image data beyond what is necessary to complete the single processing request, are prohibited from using the data for model training, and are prohibited from extracting biometric identifiers. The providers' general privacy practices (as published at the links above) apply, and Vidream's contractual requirements apply as an additional, stricter layer.
3. How We Use Your Information
We use your information for the following purposes:
- To Operate the Service: To enable you to use the features of the Service, including AI image and video style transformation.
- To Improve the Service: To analyze aggregate usage trends, improve features, and enhance the user experience.
- To Provide Support: To communicate with you, respond to your requests or feedback, and address any technical issues.
- For Compliance, Fraud Prevention, and Safety: To protect our rights, comply with the law, and prevent fraud or unauthorized activity.
We do not use your photos, prompts, or face-containing imagery to train AI models or for any purpose beyond fulfilling your specific request.
4. Third-Party AI Service Providers
Vidream uses the following third-party AI service providers to deliver our core features:
- Alibaba Cloud — used for AI image and video style transformation.
- BytePlus — used for AI image and video style transformation.
What data is sent: The photos and videos you upload for transformation, and any text prompts you provide, are securely transmitted to these providers via their APIs. Transmission is encrypted end-to-end (HTTPS/TLS).
What data is NOT sent: We do not send your name, email address, phone number, precise device identifiers (such as IDFA), account identifiers, payment information, location, or any other personal identifying information to these AI providers. They receive only the media content and prompt you chose to submit, accompanied by the technical parameters needed to fulfill the request.
Retention by providers: These providers process the data solely to fulfill your style transformation request and delete it immediately after processing (within 24 hours at the latest). They do not store or retain the data for any other purpose.
Prohibition on training: These providers are contractually prohibited from using your data to train, fine-tune, or evaluate any AI models.
User consent: Before you can use any AI feature for the first time, the App presents a privacy consent screen that explicitly names Alibaba Cloud and BytePlus and explains what data is sent. You must tap "Agree & Continue" to proceed. You may also tap "Don't Agree" and decline. In addition, each time you select a photo for processing, the App shows a short just-in-time confirmation before the photo is transmitted.

Vidream's contractual arrangements with these providers impose stricter requirements than the providers' baseline policies with respect to retention, training use, and biometric extraction.
5. How We Share Your Information
We do not sell or rent your personal data. We share your information only in the following situations:
- Third-Party AI Service Providers: As described in Section 4, we share uploaded media with Alibaba Cloud and BytePlus solely to fulfill your style transformation request.
- Service Providers Supporting Operations: We may share limited technical or account information with service providers who help us operate the Service (e.g., cloud hosting, payment processing). These providers are bound by confidentiality and data protection obligations.
- Legal and Compliance Purposes: We may disclose information as required by law, legal process, or governmental request, or to protect our rights, safety, or the rights and safety of others.
- Business Transfers: In connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred, subject to this Privacy Policy.
6. Your Choices and Consent
- In-App Consent (First Use): Before you use any AI feature for the first time, you will be presented with a privacy consent screen that identifies Alibaba Cloud and BytePlus by name and explains how your photos are processed. You must agree to proceed. You may decline, in which case the AI feature will not run.
- Just-in-Time Confirmation: Each time you select a new photo to process, the App displays a short notice confirming the photo will be sent to a third-party AI service for processing. You may cancel at this point.
- Device Permissions: You can control the App's access to your photos, camera, and other device features through your device's system settings.
- Data Deletion: You can delete any uploaded media or generated content at any time from within the App. Once deleted, content is permanently removed from our servers.
- Contact for Deletion Requests: You may also email us at hi@vidream.ai to request deletion of your data.
- Withdrawal of Consent: You may withdraw your consent to AI processing at any time by contacting us at hi@vidream.ai or by uninstalling the App. Withdrawal of consent does not affect the lawfulness of processing that already occurred based on prior consent.
7. Children's Privacy
The Service is not intended for children under the age of 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13. If you are between 13 and 17 years old, you should use the App only with the involvement and consent of a parent or legal guardian.
If you believe we have collected information from a child under 13, please contact us at hi@vidream.ai and we will promptly delete such information.
If you upload content containing images of minors, you confirm that you have obtained parental or legal guardian consent, and you agree to use the generated content in a lawful and respectful manner.
8. Security
We implement commercially reasonable security measures, including encryption in transit (HTTPS/TLS) and encryption at rest for stored content, to protect your information. However, no method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is 100% secure. While we strive to use reasonable security protocols, we cannot guarantee absolute security.

10. Third-Party Websites and Services
The Service may contain links to third-party websites, mobile applications, or online services. These links are provided for your convenience. We are not responsible for the privacy practices or content of these third-party services. We encourage you to read their privacy policies.
11. International Data Transfers
Vidream's third-party AI service providers may process your data on servers located outside your country of residence. Where applicable law requires, we take appropriate measures (including contractual safeguards) to ensure that data transferred across borders is protected in accordance with this Privacy Policy.
12. Your Rights
Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the following rights regarding your personal information:
- Access to the data we hold about you;
- Correction of inaccurate data;
- Deletion of your data;
- Objection to or restriction of certain processing;
- Portability of your data;
- Withdrawal of consent.
